There is a growing demand in Australia and internationally for people with expertise in high-level social research methods. This specialisation of the Master of Social Research gives students a solid grounding in social research methods including conceiving, scoping, planning, doing, and finalising a research project; survey design and analysis; qualitative research design and analysis; and longitudinal methods. Electives may include courses on population analysis, and projections and forecasting.
