The single Honours in Contemporary Europe enables BA students and BA (European Studies) students to focus on Contemporary Europe.
Admission requirements
The requirements for entry into single Honours in Contemporary Europe are:
1. Completion of the requirements of a Bachelor pass degree in an Arts area.
2. Completion of a Contemporary Europe major (42 units) plus:
i. a further 3 later year courses (18 units) from the Contemporary Europe major, or;
ii. 3 later year European language courses (18 units).
3. A Distinction average in later year courses included in requirement 2.

EURO4105F Contemporary Europe IV Honours (full time)
EURO4105P Contemporary Europe IV Honours (part time)
Combined Honours (European Studies)
Students may have the option of undertaking combined Honours in Contemporary Europe and one of the following disciplines: Art History, English, French, German, History, International Relations, Italian, Philosophy, Political Science, Russian, Sociology and Spanish.
Entry Requirements
1. Completion of the requirements of a Bachelor pass degree in an Arts area
2. A Contemporary Europe major (42 units) and one additional later year course offered in the Contemporary Europe major (6 units)
3. A Distinction average in later year courses included in requirement 2.
4. Satisfaction of any other requirements for combined honours as specified by the combined discipline, usually 8 courses (see the relevant Honours description).
Courses Offered
The program of study for the honours year will be negotiated with the Contemporary Europe Honours convenor and the convenor of the combined discipline, but usually consists of a Contemporary Europe thesis of 16000-20000 words (50%) and coursework in the combined discipline (50%). The Contemporary Europe Honours convenor approves each student's program.
