This minor provides a pathway into contemporary moral, political and social philosophy.  The ideas with which it deals not only constitute a lively field in their own right, but have had considerable influence upon work that has taken place in a number of other disciplines.

 

Learning outcomes

Students who complete this major will have the skills and knowledge to: identify, understand and engage critically with a range of influential contemporary ideas.  They will, while doing this, also acquire skills in presentation and critical analysis of material in this field, which they will be able to make use of not just in philosophy courses, but in other disciplines and in real-life situations.

Requirements

This minor requires the completion of 24 units, which must include:
