The Bridging course in Environmental Management and Development is designed for people wishing to enter the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management and Development (and subsequently the Master of Environmental Management and Development) course but who:

  • need strengthening in basic concepts of ecology, mathematics, economics or other social sciences; and/or
  • have been away from university studies for a significantly long period, or have had their undergraduate studies interrupted by circumstances beyond their control; and/or
  • need to develop their academic English skills in conjunction with the language of the basic concepts necessary for the Diploma program.

Prerequisites

Applicants should normally hold: (1) a bachelor degree from an Australian University; or (2) a degree from a recognised university or other tertiary institution approved by the Admissions Sub-Committee of the Board of Studies that is equivalent to a degree of bachelor from an Australian University; or (3) relevant equivalent practical experience deemed by the Admissions Sub-Committee of the Board of Studies to qualify the student for admission and approved by the prescribed authority.
