| Course Description |
The Australian National Internships Program provides postgraduates, from any discipline, with the opportunity to undertake a research project within the workplace for academic credit. All placements are in Canberra at national institutions, and students attend their workplace for 11 weeks. During this time, students attend weekly workshops. This program is recommended to students with well developed research skills. |
| Learning Outcomes | Students will learn how to develop and execute a major research project and to clearly express the findings in both written and verbal forms. Students will also obtain experience in scheduling complex tasks, prioritising issues and activities, working in a professional environment and understanding how research can contribute to a wider public policy debate. |
| Indicative Assessment | A written or oral presentation on the course work; a research report of up to 16,000 words; and an oral presentation on the research report. |
