| Course Description |
Contemporary International Art: Critical Themes brings together contemporary issues and themes across the broad scope of the Art History, Museums and Curatorship program offered in the School of Humanities. The course addresses these three core areas of study within a contemporary context so that students can examine contemporary art practise against the grain of institutional, curatorial, ideological and historical frameworks. The course exploits the diversity of approaches offered within the program and introduces students to ideas regarding a 1980s and beyond ‘community’ of art. |

Tutorial discussion (10%), 2,500 word tutorial paper(20%), 1,500 word Art Writing Project (25%) and 3,500 word research essay (45%) |

One 2-hour lecture per week and one 1-hour tutorial per week. |
