| Course Description |
The course examines issues of social responsibility, ethics and ethical behaviour by both individuals and corporations. It is designed to develop students' professional and personal skills and acquaint students with relevant business practices and values in preparation for their industry placement and professional careers. The course aims to provide a foundation for the further development of students’ personal values and beliefs with a view to assisting them to develop as well rounded professionals. A variety of topics are included that involve social, legal and ethical aspects of business:
Students will undertake the course in the first semester of the third year of study. |
| Indicative Assessment |
Tutorial work 20%; Personal report 10%; Group project 20%; Final exam 50%. |
| Workload |
Two lectures and one tutorial per week plus private study time. |
| Requisite Statement |
Completion of at least 96 units in the BComm (Hons) (IBL) |
| Corequisites |
The course is compulsory for students in the Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) (IBL) degree program. |
