| Course Description |
This course is focused on English literary satire in the first half of the eighteenth century. It will examine famous satiric works by six major writers from the period: Daniel Defoe, Jonathan Swift, John Gay, Alexander Pope, Henry Fielding and Samuel Johnson. |
