Introduction to the systems approach; hard versus soft systems thinking; problem solving approaches; probabilistic approaches to systems analysis; statistical approaches to systems analysis. Various systems engineering approaches (calculus methods, critical path method, PERT/LOB, network flow analysis, linear programming, decision analysis, and queueing models - Markovian analysis of dynamic systems). |
