| Course Description |
This course aims to develop an understanding of discrete time signal processing algorithms, technology and applications. Specification and properties of frequency-selective filters (low-pass, high-pass and band-pass filters, group delay, generalised linear phase, minimum phase). Fast Fourier transform. Finite impulse response filter design techniques, computer-aided filter design. Implementation of digital filters, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters and DSP chips. Applications areas discussed include digital audio and video signal processing. |
