| Course Description |
This course builds upon the concepts and ideas introduced in Australian Public Law, Commonwealth Constitutional Law and Legal Theory. Course content will be built around an examination of rights in constitutional law. The course will have a heavy theoretical lens-the role of the judiciary in interpreting constitutional law, socio-legal theory-as well as a comparative law focus, particularly viz-a-viz the US Constitution. Topical areas of emphasis will include equality rights, freedom of expression, and terrorism and the constitution. |
