Course Description

This course aims to arm students with an understanding of, and a critical approach to, the law as it applies to Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders. It presents that law in its historical and cultural context, highlighting problems which stem from that context for the definition of 'Aboriginality' itself and for the relationship between indigenous Australians and the state.
