| Course Description | The primary aim of the course is to provide students with the awareness and knowledge communication-related issues that allow them to interact effectively in the business environment. By combining theory and practice, the course offers students a range of business communication skills to enable them to effectively handle current and emerging business issues that they will encounter during their studies and particularly in the workplace. |

Upon completion of the course, students are expected to be able to demonstrate a good understanding of:

| Indicative Assessment | The assessment for this course will involve students submitting both short and more detailed business reports, undertaking presentations, and an end of semester exam. Students will also undertake weekly assignments that will facilitate the development of a portfolio of business communications. The combination of business report writing, presentations, exams and drafting of correspondence will improve the research skills, as well as the written and oral communication skills of students. |
