Course Description

This course examines the complex role of management consultants, and introduces students to practical aspects of applying their management knowledge and capabilities in a consultancy role. The range of practical issues includes:

  • role and appropriate use of consultants
  • ethics and stakeholder relationships
  • overview of the consulting industry
  • writing proposals, contracting
  • problem framing, research and analysis, report writing
  • intervention and change management
  • managing consultants
  • career development as a management consultant.
Areas of Interest Management
Eligibility At least an average of 65% (or equivalent) in the final two years of an Australian undergraduate degree.
