| Course Description |
This is a practical course which aims to develop public speaking skills. The emphasis is on presenting science to a general audience. Specialist training will also be given by a professional performer to provide skills in acting techniques applicable to public speaking. |

On satisfying the requirements of this course, students will have the knowledge and skills to: 1. Apply practical science communication techniques in presenting scientific information |
| Indicative Assessment | Five graded verbal presentations on various scientific topics to demonstrate the application of science communication techniques (5 x 20%; LO 1, 2, 3) |
