| Course Description |
Objective: This course introduces the principles of data collection, with particular emphasis on the design of experiments and surveys, and methods for analysing such data. Topics chosen from: Principles of experimental design; Comparison of two treatments; Analysis of variance; Maximum likelihood and REML; Factorial experiments; Blocking and split-plot designs; Finite-population sampling, including censuses and sample surveys; Sampling methods, including stratification, clustering and complex surveys; Design-based analysis; Observational studies.
