Course Description

Intermediate Turkish B is designed for students who can already read and write paragraphs of a fair length using most tenses both in direct and indirect speech. The course will further cover urgency and continuity verbs, deverbatives of time and simulation. The course will include comprehensive reading passages on Turkish theatre, cinema, dance and music. Some Turkish terms, proverbs and poems will also be introduced in this course.

Indicative Assessment

Attendance and class participation (20%), assignments (30%) and final examination - including oral component (50%)

Workload

Four hours of lectures per week (may include language laboratory session). Students will be required to spend one additional hour in the language laboratory doing self study.
