The program is designed for those who seek academic preparation for a career in a professional area requiring a solid understanding of the Middle East and Central Asia, whether in diplomacy, the public service, teaching, journalism or business.
Prerequisites
Applicants for entry to the Graduate Diploma in Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies should have obtained a three-year Bachelor degree, or its equivalent, from an approved tertiary education institution, at an average grade of Credit or above. Students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies may apply to transfer from that program to the Master of Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies or the Master of Arts degree after completing at least four courses with an average across all courses of 70% or higher (ie: a Distinction average or higher).
