The ANU is Australia's premier institution with regard to fundamental nuclear structure research and has maintained a continuous educational effort in Nuclear Physics through undergraduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral programs. This is an opportunity to provide training in an area where the ANU has expertise in both research and education.

The introduction of a Masters program is in response to a need for training and independent information in this area. The program is intended to inform the policy debate, rather than advocating a particular position.
