Course Description Conduct of an agreed program of prescribed readings on a defined topic or thematic area in archaeology
Indicative Assessment  

Combination of annotated bibliography, critical review and/or essay or report, (as negotiated), to a total word limit of 5,000-6,000 words across all written assignments.

Course Classification(s) SpecialistSpecialist courses are designed for students having reached 'first degree' level of assumed knowledge, which provide for the acquisition of specialist skills; or 'second degree' and higher level of knowledge; or for transition to research training programs; or knowledge associated with professional accreditation.

The Graduate Reading course offers the opportunity for extended engagement with a body of literature surrounding a particular topic or thematic area in archaeology under the guidance of a staff member.

The course can be used for producing an annotated bibliography and/or literature review relevant to a Masters sub-thesis project, and/or for concentrated study in a subject of particular interest to the student
