Course Description

This course for students participating in approved Semester in Asia programs.  Interested students should contact the relevant program coordinator.

Learning Outcomes Students are expected to improve both their linguistic and cultural understanding of the country in which they are studying in such a way as to complement the studies the are undertaking at the ANU.
Indicative Assessment Students will be expected to pass all classes enrolled in at the partner institution. The distribution of credits upon return may be decided by various means including, but not limited to, placement tests, research papers and interviews.
Workload The equivalent of a full-time semester courseload at the host institution. Specific number of hours will vary according to institution.
Requisite Statement Permission of convenor.
Recommended Courses Language and grade requirements will vary according to the program but students will generally be required to have at least one year of relevant language study or its equivalent to be considered for the semester in asia program. Contact the convenor for more specific information.
Consent Required Consent is required prior to enrolling in this course.
