Course Description

The main focus of this course is to instigate specific exploration and experimentation in digital video practice within new media.

Each student will be guided towards the completion of a major project that investigates and tests practice boundaries within the field. The delivered outcome will focus on the presentation of innovative ideas towards the development of digital video technologies and practice in new media.

Indicative Assessment Proposed Assessment: Assessment is by a series of assignments, and a final presentation of the major project to the assessment panel.

Workload

All sessions take place in a computer laboratory:

3.5 hours of seminar / studio practice per week

Students are expected to do at least an extra 4 hours of independent studio practice each week
