| Course Description |
The Independent Study 1 is a course requiring students to complete a one-semester project, the topic and methodology of which is approved by the course convenor. The course is conducted as a single supervised studio practice to provide advanced study in the practice of new media in a specific stream offered by the Centre for New Media Arts. |
| Indicative Assessment |
Assessment is by the Research Proposal, Project Report and presentation of the Major Project to the Viva Examination Panel. Research Proposal (20%), Major Project Report (20%), Major Project (60%) |

1 hour tutorial per week Students are expected to do at least an extra 4 - 6 hours of independent studio practice each week |
