Course Description

The course will involve the students in the whole process of production. They will perform, design, stage-manage, etc, a play that will be directed by one of the Theatre Studies staff. The play will be chosen from the canon of twentieth century drama and it is intended that it be relevant to one of the other later-year courses (eg Post-War British Drama DRAM2009, Modern Australian Drama DRAM2008 etc).

Indicative Assessment

2,000 word essay (25%), tutorial presentation (25%) and workshop assessment and end of semester performance (50%).

Workload Offered every third year, with DRAM2012 Experience of Theatre II and DRAM2014 Experience of Theatre III.: Three and a half hours per week: one 1-hour lecture, one 1-hour tutorial and one 1.5 hour workshop
