I. Discrete Response models (2 weeks)

  •       Binary response: Logit and Probit estimations
  •       Multinomial Response: Multinomial Logit
  •       Ordered Response: Ordered Logit and Probit
  •       Bivariate Probit

II. Selection Problem (1 week)

  •        Tobit/Heckit models

III. Endogenous regressors (1 week)

  •       Instrumental variables estimations

IV. Count Data (1 week)

  •      Poisson regression model; Negative binomial model

V.   Duration Analysis (1 week)

  •       Parametric and non-parametric estimations: Weibull and Cox proportional hazard models

VI.  Panel Data (2 weeks)

  •       Pooled, Random and Fixed Effects estimations for linear and non-linear models
  •       Unbalanced panels and Sample attrition
Course Classification(s) AdvancedAdvanced courses are designed for students having reached 'first degree' level of assumed knowledge, which provide a deep understanding of contemporary issues; or 'second degree' and higher levels of knowledge; or for transition to research training programs.
