| Course Description |
In the first semester full-time students will normally take two courses, in the second semester full-time students will complete a sub-thesis of 12,000-15,000 words and take one course. In 2010 the course choices are: Semester one:

Students are expected to consult with the Honours Adviser in December 2009 about their choice of courses and long essay topic, and are required to seek approval for their topic, and commence work on the essay as early in 2010 as possible. |
| Learning Outcomes | On satisfying the requirements of the Honours Program students will have developed skills in critical analysis, detailed knowledge of a special areas of English study and advanced written communication and research skills. |
