Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will have the knowledge and skill to:

  1. describe and explain different types of major signal processing techniques and models used in radar signal processing.
  2. apply different types of signal processing algorithms to process real radar signals.
  3. discover various challenges and engineering compromises to be handled while processing radar signal.
  4. work in a small team to handle a current challenge in the field of radar signal processing and produce a suitable report.
Indicative Assessment

Online Quizzes (5%);
Midterm Exam (20%);
Simulation-based Assignments (5*7=35%);
Exam and Project (40%)

Workload

The course will involve regular lectures and simulation based assignments. There is also a term paper component, where the students have to work in small teams and work on a current research problem in the broad field of radar signal processing.

Course Classification(s) AdvancedAdvanced courses are designed for students having reached 'first degree' level of assumed knowledge, which provide a deep understanding of contemporary issues; or 'second degree' and higher levels of knowledge; or for transition to research training programs.
