Course Description

It has become common practice for students to spend their first Honours semester at a French or Francophone University, undertaking an approved program of study. The Honours thesis begins during this period and is completed in the second semester.

Those students who cannot spend a semester in France should see the Convenor for further information regarding coursework arrangements and requirements. All intending students should see the Honours Convenor as early as possible.

Indicative Assessment
  • Two coursework components, written in French: ea 20%
  • 12,000 - 15,000 word thesis, written in French: 50%
  • Final oral examination: 10%.
Workload Two semesters full time.
