After studying this course, you are expected to attain proficiency in the following areas :

Indicative Assessment

Tutorial Attendance, Participation and Presentation  -  10%

Assignment - 15%

Mid Semester Examination - 25%

Final Examination - 50%

 

 The assessment for this course for Summer School, 2010, will be different from the standard semester offerings. Summer School proposed assessment is as follows:

Class Participation  5%
Mid-Semester Examination  15%
Course Assignment  20%
Final Examination  60%

Workload

In addition to attending lectures and tutorials of at least three contact hours per week, you are required to devote at least another five hours each week in studying this course.

There are no prerequisites for this course but some knowledge of basic computer applications such as Windows XP, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, coupled with the ability to use email and the Internet is essential.
