| Course Description |
As our major means of social interaction language plays an important role in the shaping and expression of our identity. The course takes an intercultural perspective and will explore how issues such as language and nationality, language and gender, and language in social interaction manifest themselves in different European societies and in the wider European context. |

1,200 word journal (40%), oral presentation (15%) and 1,500 word research paper (45%). |
