Course Description

Objectives:
This course provides students with:

  • an understanding of drafting concepts and techniques for commercial documents, particularly commercial contracts;
  • practice and feedback in solving common drafting problems.

Content:
Principal topics include:

  • drafting techniques;
  • structure of commercial contracts;
  • sources of ambiguity and drafting solutions;
  • mechanisms such as dispute resolution.

Students must rely on the Approved Assessment which will be posted to the course homepage on the ANU Law website, prior to the commencement of the course.
