Course Description	Objectives A student who has completed this course should: know the elements of the Australian system of administrative law understand the different roles of courts, tribunals and investigatory agencies understand the basic principles of administrative review, particularly the criteria for central decision-making understand major administrative law concepts, such as natural justice, legitimate expectation, merit review and judicial review know the procedure for challenging an administrative decision, and administrative law remediesï¿½ understand in broad terms the operation of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth); the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth); and the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Act 1986.
