| Course Description |
This compulsory course is an introduction to the GDLP. It orients students to the learning methods and software that students will be using, so they can take full value from the GDLP as an educational experience. It also serves as an introduction to the skills of legal practice that students will apply and develop across the GDLP. From the point of view of the APLEC/LACC Competency Statements for Entry-level Lawyers, this course sets the groundwork for:

| Workload |
The Course is constructed around a full-time, face-to-face intensive that lasts of five days. Each day day of the intensive lasts essentially from 9.00am until 5.00pm. The course also involves online work before and after the intensive that may take students around 20 hours of work. |

Incompatible with LEGW8132 which this course replaces. This course is a prerequisite for other GDLP courses. |

This course makes use of online technology for accessing resources, activities and assessment.
