Course Description

Intensive study of one or more topics in linguistics, through a combination of lectures, prescribed readings, and written analysis. The topics may be studied in conjunction with the Australian Linguistic Institute organised by the Australian Linguistic Society.

Learning Outcomes

Since the specific topic is worked out between the student and the lecturer, no general statement can be provided.  However, increased ability to read and respond to serious scholarly literature would be an expected outcome of  doing the course.
