| Course Description |
Students conducting cross-disciplinary, problem-based research face distinct challenges when trying to integrate knowledge from diverse disciplines and stakeholders. This course is one of a series of three courses focused on providing principles and techniques for conducting effective cross-disciplinary research. | Learning Outcomes |
On satisfying the requirements for this course, students will have the knowledge and skills to: • Demonstrate an understanding of decision making processes primarily at the governmental level; • Identify, assess and apply appropriate methods for designing policy briefs based on integrative research, as well as action plans for implementing them; • Demonstrate an understanding of change processes, at individual, group, institutional, national and supra-national levels; • Analyse research integration problems systematically to identify potential facilitators and barriers to translating the results of the research into policy and practice. |
