This courses differs from others listed in that they have no fixed syllabus. Rather, the content is decided by discussion between students and the Graduate Academic Adviser with a view to undertaking guided programs of readings in appropriate Southeast or South Asian language sourced materials, in areas relevant to their interests and projected research. Assessment is to be based on classroom performance and some written work. Students who are interested in taking courses of this kind should consult the Graduate Academic Adviser and appropriate ANU staff or Associates well before the program is expected to begin.
