| Course Description |
The course will examine the sociological theories of Karl Marx, Max Weber and Emile Durkheim. The social and intellectual contexts of the development of the classical sociological traditions will be considered. The influence of Marx, Weber and Durkheim on recent sociology will also be treated. |

One 2,000 word research essay (45%) and one 2,000 word comparative essay (45%) and tutorial participation (10%). |
