Course Description

The course will provide students with an introduction to a communicative command of Tetum, with emphasis on interactive use of the language in commonly occurring situations.

Indicative Assessment

Four written tests during semester (20%), vocab quizzes during semester (10%), one take-home written assignment (10%), class performance and participation (20%), two oral examinations (40%).

It is recommended that students take the complimentary non-language course, The Future of East Timor (ASIA2027), if available.
