The three year Bachelor of Visual Arts is available for students who wish to major in one of the disciplines offered at the undergraduate level: Ceramics, Digital Media, Furniture, Glass, Gold & Silversmithing, Painting, Photography and Media Arts, Printmedia & Drawing, Sculpture and Textiles. The program includes two semesters of Core Studies, followed by practical skills-based project work in the major workshop, general and specific art theory and art history and a range of complementary studio programs.
Prerequisites
Entry into the Bachelor of Visual Arts is based on ACT or NSW HSC equivalent and interview and portfolio. Once an application has been lodged through the Universities Admission Centre (UAC), applicants are required to fill out a Request for Interview Form on the ANU website at http://www.anu.edu.au/sas/admission/Audition_Interview/. Interviews are held across three days during November. International applicants lodge an application directly with ANU and include their portfolio with their application.
