Program Requirements

The combined program consists of at least 192 units including a minimum of 96 units taught in or approved by each one of the relevant College.

The minimum requirement from each Collegeis:

SCIENCE:

At least 96 units of Group A, B, and C courses including:

  • no more than 36 units of Group A courses
  • no fewer than 36 units of Group C courses
  • the completion of at least one Science major

Asia-Pacific Studies
Courses to the value of at least 96 units taught in or approved by the Faculty of Asian Studies including:

  • Language courses forming a Regional language major, as defined in the College entry for the Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Studies, to the value of between 48 units and 60 units; and
  • Courses forming an approved Contextual major as defined in the Faculty entry for the Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Studies, to the value of between 36 units and 48 units;
  • The combined degree maybe augment by one year study abroad in the Graduate Diploma in Asia-Pacific Studies Program


Admission to degree of Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Studies requires:
a total of 144 units including not less than 96 units of Asia-Pacific Studies courses as defined above.

Admission to degree of Bachelor of Science requires:

 

A total of 144 units including:

  • not less than 96 units of Science courses as defined above
  • further courses to the value of not less than 48 units taught in or approved by, either of the relevant Colleges. No more than 48 units of first year courses may be counted if admission to the BSc occurs before the combined program requirements have been completed.
