Degree Structure

The Bridging Program leading to MAIR, MIA, MDIPL/MAIR or MDIPL/MIA is a one or two-semester program, depending on academic background and work experience.

In the two-semester program candidates complete two 12-unit courses and four 6-unit electives. One of the 12-unit courses and one of the 6-unit electives is taken as a reading course.

Candidates are required to complete:

One compulsory 12-unit core course:

Semester 1 - INTR8036: World Politics

And a second 12-unit core course from:

Semester 2 - INTR8012: The Evolution of the International System 2

Semester 2 - INTR8047: Global Security 2  

Semester 2 - INTR8031: Global Governance 2

And an additional four 6-unit electives, which may not include the 6-unit analogue of a course taken for 12 units.

In the one-semester program candidates complete one 12-unit course and two 6-unit electives. One of the 6-unit electives is taken as a reading course.

Candidates are required to complete:

One compulsory 12-unit core course:

Semester 1 - INTR8036: World Politics

If commencing in Semester 2 - one 12 unit course chosen from the following:

Semester 2 - INTR8012: The Evolution of the International System 2

Semester 2 - INTR8047: Global Security 2  

Semester 2 - INTR8031: Global Governance 2

And an additional two 6-unit electives, which may not include the 6-unit analogue of a course taken for 12 units.
