The Graduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics is designed for students who want to improve their knowledge of applied linguistics at a graduate level. A Graduate Diploma passed with an overall average equivalent of distinction (min. of 70%) or better, with no less than 60% in any one course, serves as a qualification for entry to Part B of the Masters of Applied Linguistics degree program.
Prerequisites
Applicants for entry to the Graduate Diploma should have obtained a Bachelor degree from an approved tertiary institution with passes at least at the level of Credit, in other than first year courses, to the value of six courses. Students who are native speakers of other languages should have either completed their undergraduate study in English or meet the normal English language entry requirements of the ANU. (Credit for previous postgraduate courses at an approved institution may be possible, up to 50%, to be approved by Prescribed Authority.)
