The Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics provides an introduction to the basic practice of applied statistics.  It may be used as a bridging qualification for entry to the Master of Applied Statistics degree for those without previous advanced study in a quantitative field.

Commonwealth Supported Places

The ANU College of Business and Economics offers a limited number of Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) for Australian students in graduate programs. For further information, please read the general information and the Application Form.

Admission Requirements

  1. A bachelors degree from an Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent) with a performance average of 65% or better (or equivalent) for the final two years of their degree program; and
  2. Background quantitative study equivalent to at least one year of university level study in quantitative analysis, including basic mathematics and data analysis techniques.

Students who do not meet these requirements may be considered for entry if they are able to demonstrate at least one year of full time relevant work experience that was undertaken after graduation from their degree, or they may undertake an appropriate bridging program.
