The Doctor of Diplomatic Studies program is composed of the following coursework and thesis units:
Coursework comprising 48 units (one year full-time or two years part-time study)
Compulsory Course
DIPL8000 Diplomatic Doctoral Research Preparation (12 units)
Elective Courses
24 units from the following courses:
DIPL8001 Transnational Diplomacy (12 units)
DIPL8002 Contemporary Challenges in Diplomacy: Politics, Economics, Law & Strategy (12 units)
DIPL8003 Case Studies in Diplomacy (6 units)
DIPL8004 Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (6 units)
DIPL8006 Diplomacy, Politics and the United Nations (12 units)
Plus 12 units from another approved area within ANU (chosen in consultation with the Prescribed Authority of the Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy)
Research thesis comprising 48 units (one year full-time or two years part-time study)
