Entry Requirements
The requirements for entry into single Honours in Archaeology are:
1. Completion of the requirements for a Bachelor pass degree in an Arts area.
2. Completion of 10 ARCH courses (60 units), 8 of which must be later year courses including:
i. ARCH3000 Research Design and Analysis in Archaeology, and;
either
ii. ARCH2017 Landscape Archaeology,
and/or both
iii. ARCH3004A Archaeological Field and Laboratory Methods A and
iv. ARCH3004B Archaeological Field and Laboratory Methods B
3. A Distinction average across all required later year courses.
Note that courses from the Archaeology major that are not ARCH courses may be considered at the discretion of the convenor.

Combined Honours in Archaeology:
The only combined honours program currently formalised is in Archaeology and Biological Anthropology.
Students wishing to undertake combined Honours between Archaeology and another discipline should consult the relevant Honours conveners. Such students need to meet the following requirements:
1. Completion of the requirements for a Bachelor pass degree in an Arts area.
2. Completion of 8 ARCH courses (48 units), 6 of which must be later year courses including:
i. ARCH3000 Research Design and Analysis in Archaeology, and;
either
ii. ARCH2017 Landscape Archaeology,
and/or both
iii. ARCH3004A Archaeological Field and Laboratory Methods A and
iv. ARCH3004B Archaeological Field and Laboratory Methods B
3. A Distinction average across all required later year courses.
