| Course Description |
After an examination of the characteristics of different kinds of anthropological and archaeological observations, we look at procedures for recording and storing information. Methods of quantitative analysis are described, using examples from archaeology, biological anthropology, and social anthropology. |
| Learning Outcomes | Students will acquire an understanding of and skills in the quantitative analysis of data in the context of archaeological, anthropological and biological anthropology research. |

Students are assessed in four take-home tests (25% each). |

The content of ARCH2126 is also included in ARCH3000 and BIAN3014 (both 6 units). Students intending honours in archaeology or biological anthropology should normally enrol in ARCH3000 or BIAN3014 as appropriate, in preference to ARCH2126. |
