| Course Description |
Glass 2 introduces processes that extend the fundamental knowledge of glass blowing, kiln forming and cold working established in the previous semester. Through technical demonstrations and hands on classes, students further develop their skills and awareness of the medium. Individual responses to set projects allow students to develop their own concepts into the studio based work. Studio theory 2 is a lecture series that extends on the historical and contemporary practice and artists in the field of studio glass. Group discussion and critique sessions further extend the awareness of skills into the area of individual artistic practice. Occupational health and safety instruction is integrated thought the syllabus. |

Portfolio of studio work and visual journal (80%) [LOs 1 – 4] and Documentation (20%). [LOs 2 – 4] Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress. |

8 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 4 hours per week independent studio practice. |
