The course introduces students to some of the central issues that Asian and Pacific nations have been facing in modern times.

After studying this course, students are expected to attain proficiency in the following areas:

The course aims to develop a comparative understanding of cultures and societies through critical analysis of sources. For assignments, students will have opportunities to focus on the countries in which they have a particular interest. High-level English-language skills are required
