| Course Description |
This course serves as an introduction to finance for the participants, and include introductory financial concepts and mathematics where appropriate. The emphasis of the course is on the financial aspects of a corporation, and the topics include issues like optimal mix of debt and equity financing, cost of capital, project evaluation, dividend decisions and valuations. Latest techniques like Value Based Management adopted by major international consultancy firms to enhance shareholders’ wealth would also be introduced. The learning process would be reinforced by the practical applications of the concepts and techniques covered in the course. |

At least an average of 65% (or equivalent) in the final two years of an Australian undergraduate degree with at least one year of university level study in quantitative analysis, including basic mathematics and data analysis techniques, and a minimum of three years professional or managerial work experience. |
