| Course Description |
Students undertake an individual project within one of the many cutting edge research groups in the discipline of Chemistry, with project areas including synthetic chemistry, biological chemistry, physical and theoretical chemistry, materials chemistry, and medicinal chemistry. |
| Learning Outcomes |
On satisfying the requirements of this course, students will have the knowledge and skills to: 1. plan and engage in an independent and sustained critical investigation of a chosen area of specialisation in chemistry, in the context of working within an internationally competitive research group |

For a 6 unit course, 65hours of lab based research and 65hours of independent learning. |
| Eligibility |
Students must have a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent with a major in chemistry with relevant experience or honours. Applicants with the equivalent of a pass degree may be admitted if they have a high level of relevant academic achievement. The course is compulsory for all students enrolled in the Master of Chemistry. |
